MATERIALS

We've spent many an hour researching and looking at materials for our garments and accessories, selecting for our clothing the best performing products for direct to garment graphic print reproduction, soft touch comfort and ones that can achieve a sustainable and environmentally friendly ethic. Plus our accessories line sourced as much as possible from reused and renewable materials.

So with that in mind we made the decision to use manufacturers of our garments in particular, that hold the GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard). We favour organic materials that care for your skin and the environment. Our suppliers entire production chain benefits from the strictest environmental certifications and labels in this market area.

QUALITY

We want our garments to feel good and we think they do with a really soft, rich touch feel. We also want to follow the strictest certification for textiles made from organic fibres and a tracked chain of production from farm to factory: from harvesting of the cotton, weaving of fibres, assembly of items, to the final product, including even the export.

We follow the same ethos with our accessories and work with suppliers to ensure we can meet the same high standards of quality in products and monitor this by having our products shipped directly from REBEL DEMON in the UK. 

STAINABILITY, ETHICS

Our products are produced from all corners of the world and we are convinced that using manufacturers from across the world is a good thing if done properly. And properly means respecting the rights of the men and women that are employed. It means giving them the means to acquire valued income, new skills and to receive education and training. This ensures compliance with the labour standards of the International Labour Organisation throughout the chain of production.

For example one of our supplier In Dhaka, has a 19-person team, all Bangladeshi, monitoring 5 partner factories every day. All of which are GOTS-certified and audited by the Fair Wear Foundation, of which our supplier is a recognised member. Clothing is certified GMO-free (Genetically modified Organisms), grown without the use of chemicals and is processed and dyed without using any banned toxic substances.

We are also proud to announce that many of our garments are PETA certified. (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) Meaning that garments are not part of the commission of any animal tests on ingredients, formulations, or finished products. On top of this, our garments are made from 100% vegan materials so you can be confident that no harm came to anyone during its creation.

In addition our garment graphics are finished and printed in the UK with the following additional Ethic compliances;

  • Produced only with water-based inks that are OEKO-TEX approved and don't contain any regulated or unregulated chemicals harmful to the environment.
  • Print productions that fail quality checks will be donated to charity not just thrown away.
  • One of the couriers used DPD, have a carbon neutral commitment.
  • Packaging used to ship all orders is 100% plastic free.
  • Garments are no longer wrapped in plastic bagging when shipped and swing tags no longer used. We use a small bar coding label / sticker for product identification and removable if the garment is to be kept.
  • Our UK print suppliers are offsetting REBEL DEMON Carbon Footprint by funding the planting of trees in the North West of England.

From a carbon footprint view we continue to work in reducing further with our suppliers and will advise our customers as we make even more improvements.
